This course is intended as a guide for individuals to manage themselves better, be emotionally stable, in touch with their inner selves, and be happy. Building on evidence from psychology and neuroscience, the course directly ties in with the immense need for helping individuals build the capacity for harmony, emotional stability and a sense of meaning in their lives. The course uses mindfulness as the fundamental building block of self-discovery and self-awareness.

Prof. Vishal Gupta

Vishal Gupta is a Professor in the Organizational Behavior Area at the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIMA). His areas of research and teaching include leadership and organisational development, mindfulness, emotional intelligence, innovation management, ethics and justice. His research has been published in international and national journals of repute and has been covered by national dailies and magazines such as the Times of India, Economic Times, Hindu BusinessLine, DNA, Mint, People Matters and Business World.

Vishal has been honoured with multiple awards such as the ‘Outstanding Doctoral Dissertation’ award in the year 2013-14 by the European Federation for Management Development and the Emerald Group Publishing, one of India’s 25 young HR leaders in 2013 by People Matters, the Emerging Psychologist award by the National Academy of Psychology India in 2014 and the Young Scientist Award by the National Academy of Sciences India and Scopus (Elsevier) in 2016.

Vishal’s first book on leadership titled First Among Equals: T-R-E-A-T Leadership for L-E-A-P in a Knowledge-based World was published in 2020 by Bloomsbury, India. His second book titled Demystifying Leadership: Unveiling the Mahabharata Code was published in 2021 by Bloomsbury, India and was adjudged as the Business Book of the Year by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) in August 2022.
